Four months ago, the Bryce Jordan Center was filled with students, volunteers, dancers, and families for THON™ Weekend 2025. However, the impact of the weekend continues to uplift and empower our Four Diamonds families every day. The fundraising total for THON 2025 was an outstanding $17,737,040.93! Each dollar raised represents hope, resilience, and a community united in the fight against childhood cancer. Due to THON’s efforts, children can receive the treatment, therapy, and services they need. Let’s take a look at the specific impact of THON 2025.
3,519 Days of Music Therapy
Music therapy uses instruments, singing, listening, and song writing as therapeutic interventions to promote adjustment to the hospital setting. Music therapy helps to manage stress and anxiety, alleviate pain, express feelings, improve communication, and foster positive social interactions. Music provides comfort and expression when words fall short.
2,956 Hours of Four Diamonds Research
Four Diamonds researchers collaborate with doctors and scientists around the world to conquer childhood cancer. Their research efforts are focused on advancing the understanding and treatment options for childhood cancer, while studying cancer formations, developing new targeted therapies, and conducting clinical trials to test effectiveness of treatments.
4,105 Days of Outpatient Treatment
Outpatient treatment delivers care outside of a hospital setting, allowing patients to return home the same day after treatment. Outpatient treatment aims to minimize disruptions in the child and family’s everyday lives, promoting faster recovery and well-being. THON’s efforts will sponsor 4,105 days of outpatient treatment that will provide consistent and compassionate care tailored to each child’s unique needs.
422 Weeks of Dedicated Social Work
A cancer diagnosis affects the whole family. With the support of social workers, families are guided through their adjustment from diagnosis to treatment to survivorship. THON 2025 has provided over 8 years’ worth of social work support to help families navigate the emotional, financial, and logistical challenges they may face.
492 Months of Nutritional Therapy
Nutritional therapy is a valuable resource that assists families with nutritional information that will keep their child as healthy as possible. Having access to adequate nutrition and appropriate therapies not only helps in the timely completion of their therapy but also speeds up the process of feeling like a normal kid again.
2,815 Weeks of Prescription Drug Co-Pays
THON provides funding to organizations that offer co-pay assistance programs for individuals and families facing financial challenges in paying for prescription medications. The co-pay for these medications can be as high as $300-$500 each. With support from THON, families can access critical treatments without the added burden of overwhelming costs, ensuring no child goes without the medication they need to fight cancer.

To ensure that THON is able to donate 96 cents of every dollar raised to Four Diamonds at Penn State Health Children’s Hospital, we heavily rely on donor support.
