As the leaves turn orange and the air grows brisk, the THON™ 5K draws near. The THON 5K will take place on Oct. 25 and will help kick off Dream Forward with a fun-filled, fast-paced, and friendly race!
The Kids Race will start at 11:15 a.m., when kids will be able to line up, lace up, and show the crowd how fast they are. Be sure to hop on the sidelines to cheer them on! Then, at 11:30 a.m., individuals running the 5K will begin the 5,000-meter course that takes racers through Penn State with support along the way.
The 5K is an amazing place to go for a morning run, but that is not the only thing you can do! There will be activities such as face paint, balloon animals, as well as live music. Live performers such as the Corner Bros and Natalie McMahon will perform and attendees will also have the chance to participate in a fun Pep Rally. Therapy dogs will also be present before the race!
If you’re looking to get a bite to fuel up before or after the race, restaurants and eateries such as Idou Coffee, Kona Ice, and Philly Cheesesteak Co. will be there to serve food for participants, volunteers and families all morning long.

Bib Pickup for those who registered online will be available Monday, Oct. 19 through Friday, Oct. 23 in the THON Store in the HUB from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.!
