THON™ 5K Registration is Open!

Ready, set, register! THON™ 5K Registration is open today! As THON 2027 takes off, the THON 5K on October 25 is one of the first opportunities for the Penn State community to come together and make huge strides in the fight against childhood cancer. 

If you are a Penn State student who enjoys getting active and making a difference, sign up for the THON 5K today. The annual THON 5K is a fun-filled race through campus that brings together students, volunteers, and families, to run for a cause. This event is a great way to kick off the THON year with a day full of steps towards a cure. 

Here are some important dates to look out for: 

• Priority Registration is open now until September 11 

• General Registration opens September 12 to October 24 

• Day Of Registration will also be available on October 25 

Can’t make it to State College for the event? Sign up for the Virtual 5K and receive access to THON’s Strava group, a THON-branded magnet, and a downloadable runner bib! Through the Virtual 5K, you can connect with other runners who are also taking steps for a cure and stay connected to the in-person event. 

Whether this is your first time running the THON 5K or you’re returning for another amazing year, there’s no better way to kick off THON 2027 than by spending time with friends, lacing up your shoes, and coming together For The Kids®.
