“Ignite the Fight” is our annual fundraising and awareness campaign that takes place every year on July 1st. With the opening of the THON™ 2023 fundraising window, we want to celebrate members of the THON™ Community taking their first stand of the year in the fight against childhood cancer.
The “Ignite the Fight” challenge is asking members of the THON™ community to complete three activities.
- Download the DonorDrive app
- Register an Alt Fund
- THON™ Nation Fundraiser
Here’s how you can finish these three tasks:
- Download the DonorDrive app
The DonorDrive platform is now available on your phone! Start by searching and downloading “DonorDrive Charity Fundraising App” from the App Store or Google Play Store. Create or update your account, and start sharing your page to begin fundraising.
Some DonorDrive Quick Tips:
- Ask your parents or family members to make an initial donation to your fundraising page.
- Set an achievable fundraising goal. You can always increase your goal once you’ve reached your current one.
- Share a compelling story on your fundraising page with an image, text, or even a video about your Organization.
- Share your page via your personal social media accounts.
Each person who downloads the DonorDrive app before July 3 at 8 p.m. will be entered into a lottery to win $100 credited to their organization.
2. Register an Alternative Fundraiser
Alternative fundraisers are any type of fundraising event other than canvassing, donation boxes, corporate, mail, or online giving.
Some examples of alternative fundraisers include:
- Bake sales
- Workout classes
- Craft sales
- Ribbon sales
- Pie-An-Org Member
All alternative fundraisers must be submitted to, and approved on THINK at least one week prior to the event. Learn more about alternative fundraising tips and how to submit an Alternative Fundraiser on THINK here.
Each person who registers an alternative fundraiser before July 3 at 8 p.m. will be entered into a lottery to win $100 credited to their organization.
3. THON™ Nation Fundraiser
Not a student but still want to support THON™’s fundraising efforts? No problem. Alumni, Friends of THON™ and Four Diamonds Families, and Friends of THON™ are eligible to fundraise through THON™ Nation.
Some THON™ Nation Fundraiser ideas include:
- 5K Run/Walk
- Bake Sales
- Car Washes
- Movie Nights
- Candy Grams
- Silent Auctions
In order to become an approved Fundraiser, it is encouraged to submit an application at least six weeks prior to the event. Learn more about THON™ Nation Fundraising ideas here.
Each person who receives a donation credited to a THON™ Nation page before July 3 at 8 p.m. will be entered into a lottery to win $100 credited to their organization.
