  • Why did you want to become a director for the largest student-run philanthropy in the world? I was inspired to become a director to give back to a community that has profoundly shaped and motivated me to do more. The unwavering strength and resilience of our families, volunteers, and supporters have fueled my desire to continue contributing in a meaningful way. With a background in supporting children and families battling a childhood cancer diagnosis or chronic blood disorder, I’ve witnessed the importance of the work we do and the hand we extend to those in need. I wanted a seat at the table where short- and long-term goals are fostered to strengthen the growth of our organization and its impact.
  • What are your main responsibilities as a Director for THON™ 2026? As the Merchandise Director, I am responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the THON Store, creating brand awareness in all merchandise, maintaining vendor relationships, and upholding the name of THON through the protection of our trademarks and licensing requirements. While leading a dedicated team of over 20 Captains and 50 Committee Members, I facilitate strategic conversations focused on the Merchandise Committee’s growth, exploring new ways to expand our reach and maximize profitability in support of THON’s mission.
  • What is your favorite THON memory?  My favorite THON memory is spending Final Four and Total Reveal with my co-captains last year and hearing the impact numbers of the THON Store.
  • What is your favorite quote?  “Love connects you with all other human beings and with all of creation…We are created by love, to live in love, for the sake of love.” – Gerald May
  • What are you involved in outside of being a THON™ Director?  Outside of THON, I work in the Programs and Family Services Department at the Children’s Cancer Center. I also volunteer my time at 2 outpatient clinics, learning more about techniques within Occupational Therapy and the application of Hippotherapy on patients.
  • What are your plans after graduation from Penn State?  After graduation, I plan to attend graduate school and begin working towards my doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy.

To ensure that THON is able to donate 96 cents of every dollar raised to Four Diamonds at Penn State Health Children’s Hospital, we heavily rely on donor support. These donations provide us the resources to create endless memories for our Four Diamonds families & foster a deep love & connection to our mission for our volunteers through Pre-THON Events, alternative fundraisers, & THON Weekend.
