  • Why did you want to become a director for the largest student-run philanthropy in the world?  THON is such a unique and special organization that allows college students to make a real impact on the lives of children and families impacted by childhood cancer. As my involvement in THON has grown over the years, so has my passion for the mission and my drive to do more. After meeting so many families and passionate volunteers, the reasons why they THON have become a part of why I THON. I wanted to become a director to give back to an organization that has given me so much and to create meaningful change for the future of THON.
  • What are your main responsibilities as a Director for THON™ 2026?  My main responsibilities for THON 2026 can be broken down into four main areas: outreach for new volunteers, education of volunteers and organizations, management of our relationships with organizations on campus, and overseeing our DEI efforts. Through all of these areas, I work to ensure that everyone at Penn State feels like they can be a part of THON and that their voices are heard in our community.
  • What is your favorite THON memory?  My favorite THON memory was planning and executing the Greek Appreciation Event for THON 2025. Last year, my co-captain and I were given 45 minutes to highlight the yearlong effort provided by Greek Organizations on campus. We were able to give organizations, students, and families the opportunity to tell their THON story and show how much this organization means to them through speeches, videos, and even a dance. It was so special to have the opportunity to give so many people the time and audience to share why they THON and to see how everyone’s THON journey is different.
  • What is your favorite quote?  I don’t know who said it first, but my dad always says to “do the best you can with what you have to work with.”
  • What are you involved in outside of being a THON™ Director? I am involved with Greek Life through my sorority Tri Sigma.
  • What are your plans after graduation from Penn State? I do not know exactly where I will be next May.
