  • Year: 2025
  • Hometown: Pittsburgh
  • Major/Minor: Biobehavioral Health/Human Development and Family Studies
  • Why did you want to be a Director?: Being a THON volunteer for the past 3+ years has been the most beautiful experience of my life. I feel so much gratitude for the sense of community and all I have learned from other volunteers. I have particularly been impacted by the families that I have met along the way- they are the kindest, strongest, most courageous people I have ever known. I wanted to be the Family Relations Director to give back to the families all that they have given me. All that I do is for them and for the day that we will dance together in celebration of a cure!
  • What responsibilities do you have as the [position] Director for THON 2025?: My role as the Family Relations Director is to support my captains in upholding the emotional support aspect of THON’s mission. I assist them in planning events, facilitating family programs, and maintaining the Adopt-A-Family Program. I am responsible for planning Harvest Day, a day of celebration for families to kick off the year! Additionally, I have the pleasure of being a point of contact for families with any questions or concerns. My mission this year is to ensure that all families feel welcome in any and all things THON!
  • What is your favorite THON memory?: My favorite THON memory is Family Hour of THON 2024! Standing in the family moat with the families and my co-captains and watching the family speakers was truly an amazing moment. I remember the sense of gratitude I felt for being a part of something so incredible!
  • Favorite Quote: “Our joys will be greater, our love will be deeper, our life will be fuller because we shared your moment.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson
  • What are you involved in outside of THON?: I am a Delta Gamma and a member of Kesem Central PA!
  • What are your plans for after you graduate from Penn State?: I hope to work for a non-profit and eventually go to nursing school. I am most interested in pediatrics and maternal medicine!

To ensure that THON is able to donate 96 cents of every dollar raised to Four Diamonds at Penn State Health Children’s Hospital, we heavily rely on donor support. These donations provide us the resources to create endless memories for our Four Diamonds families & foster a deep love & connection to our mission for our volunteers through Pre-THON Events, alternative fundraisers, & THON Weekend.
