• Why did you want to become a director for the largest student-run philanthropy in the world? I wanted to be on the Executive Committee because I wanted to be surrounded by people who are obsessed with the “why” of THON and want to enact the same positive change as I do. Having a leadership role in an organization like THON, it is easy to get lost in the work. With so many moving parts, to-do lists, and deadlines that need to be met, for the average person, the “why” can begin to fade. Someone who is on the Executive Committee always keeps the “why” of THON at the forefront of what they do. Someone who is on the Executive Committee says THON’s mission and feels every word. I believe I do that. As I have already said, I knew that if I was going to join an organization, it would have to be something that I enjoyed showing up to every day. THON has done that for me. THON, its like-minded people, and its families have given me so much that it is only right that I give everything I have in return. After all, as former NBA player Kevin Martin said, “If you are going to do something in life, do it 100%.” Being a part of the Executive Committee is my 100%, and organizations, IDCs, donors, alumni, volunteers, and families deserve nothing less. 

• What are your main responsibilities as a Director for THON™ 2027? As the Fundraising Safety Director for THON™ 2027, I am responsible for ensuring that all of THON’s fundraising efforts reflect THON’s image and have the greatest impact. For an organization like THON, thousands of people want to donate to this amazing cause, and it is my responsibility to provide the tools and resources they need to contribute. I am extremely fortunate to have a team of 21 Fundraising Safety Captains that work to maintain our online giving platform, DonorDrive, answer any and all fundraising questions for organizations, committees, alumni, IDCs, and more, and uphold the integrity of the THON 2027 Rulebook, which outlines all of THON’s policies, including good fundraising practices. I am also responsible for helping plan many of THON’s fundraising campaigns throughout the year, including Ignite the Fight, Dream Forward, Season of Giving, Week of Matching Impact, and THON Weekend.
  As a Director in general, I am responsible for upholding THON’s values and embodying them each and every day. It is my job to listen to all those who want to support THON and come up with new and exciting ways to spread THON’s mission. Although I have the title of Director, I am a THON Volunteer the same way a general committee member is a THON Volunteer. We are all a part of THON to pursue a common goal, to one day dance in celebration of a cure, and it is my responsibility to be a stepping stone and set an example for all the amazing THON Volunteers that will come long after I have graduated from Penn State.
  

• What is your favorite THON memory? For THON 2026, I was lucky enough to lead a committee of 28 amazing committee members. During Final Four, my committee was on the Event Level, and I was able to join them while listening to Go Go Gadget perform. In that moment, my committee was the closest it had ever been. They were having so much fun dancing with one another and celebrating their amazing year-long efforts. I was proud to be their Captain, and I was happy that they would each remember that moment. It was truly special to see.

• What are you involved in outside of being a THON™ Director? I enjoy playing intramural sports and making time to be with my friends.
• What are your plans after graduation from Penn State? I plan to pursue mechanical engineering in the construction or sports science industry. It is my dream to help build and design state-of-the-art stadiums and arenas using my creativity and technical background.
