After graduation, I moved to NYC and worked for an advertising agency, then moved on to editorial—jumping to and from a few different publications; Elegant Bride, Child, Domino; made the move to retail for 15 years at Victoria’s Secret and Dressbarn, and now have entered the freelance realm.
Having the good fortune of my work being chosen for such an amazing event gave me a lot of confidence going out into the world; it was the first time my design was chosen by strangers to represent their brand. that was so exciting! it definitely started to forge my path.
I can’t remember my inspiration being anything other than the kids and my hope of capturing the optimism of the event.
Being on that stage was powerful. The collective energy of a group of people working tirelessly (literally!) for something greater than themselves was absolutely unforgettable.
