Four Diamonds and Penn State THON™ are proud to share that the two organizations will now have permanent recognition in Beaver Stadium!
Made possible by an anonymous gift to Penn State Athletics, signage with both organization’s names and logos will be installed at Gate B in the home of Penn State Football. The gift supports the Beaver Stadium Revitalization Project by Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics to upgrade the Nittany Lions’ football venue. The donor, moved by the impact and mission of Four Diamonds and THON, made the decision to relinquish naming rights and honor the two organizations.
The signage will be installed this week ahead of the team’s upcoming game against Wisconsin on Saturday, Sept. 26.
“We are thrilled to be recognized as a permanent fixture at Beaver Stadium,” said Suzanne Graney, executive director of Four Diamonds. “We are so grateful to Penn State Athletics for being a Partner in the Fight® to conquer childhood cancer. We are likewise thankful to this anonymous donor for their generosity and creativity in helping us raise awareness about childhood cancer with our Nittany Lion fans.”
This year, Four Diamonds and THON are celebrating 50 years of partnership. Since 1977, THON has raised over $273 million to emotionally and financially support children and families facing childhood cancer at Penn State Health Golisano Children’s Hospital.
“Penn State Athletics and THON represent two of the strongest communities within the Penn State family, bringing people together through shared experience, traditions and a commitment to something bigger than themselves,” said Lauren Mellas, the THON 2027 executive director. “Both communities have a lasting impact on students, alumni and fans, and there is incredible opportunity when we bring that passion together. We are excited to continue building our partnership with Athletics and to see the impact we can make together, For the Kids®”
