Committee Members play a key role in empowering the THON™ community in its mission of conquering childhood cancer. If you’re wondering what it looks like to be a Committee Member or don’t know where to start, we’re here to answer your questions!
Who can join a committee?
Committee applications are open to any full-time student at University Park. This includes anyone from first-year students to graduate students! Your major, academic year, or other organizations do not limit which Committee you can join. To be a part of specific Committees, you must be a student in the spring semester and available for THON Weekend (February 19-21), but there are committees available for students not available in the spring. What is the selection process like?
Committee Member Applications are open now through September 17 at 11:59 PM. To join a Committee, you start by filling out the application on think.THON.org. After this, you will be contacted and receive a time and location for an interview with a Captain who leads a Committee. After the interview, you will then be informed of which Committee you are best fit for.
How often do Committees meet?
Committees meet once a week for one to two hours, and you will be responsible for attending additional events throughout the year, varying based on the Committee.
How can I get involved?

How do I know which committee is right for me?
When filling out the Committee Member application form, you will be given the option to select a Preference Group and then rank your preferred Committees within that group. We recommend that you read each Committee’s mission statement and Committee description here. Everyone has a place in THON and can be a hero in the fight against childhood cancer.
We encourage all new and old Committee Members to join our mission to provide emotional and financial support, spread awareness, and fund life-saving research in pursuit of a cure For The Kids®.
