Is there anything better than pizza? If that pizza has a great purpose behind it, then the answer is yes!
This year, Papa John’s partnered with THON™ to serve up pizza For The Kids® from now until THON Weekend in February. The promotion is active at over 50 locations spanning five states!
“Each participating store location spreads THON’s mission to people that may have never been introduced to our cause,” said Colin Spear, the Hospitality Director for THON 2027.
Colin worked with the marketing team at Papa John’s to ideate and implement this promotion. After a successful promotion in the month of February leading up to THON Weekend 2026, the Papa John’s team decided to run the fundraiser for THON 2027’s entire fiscal year, bringing more awareness, support, and, of course, pizza, to hungry customers in and beyond Pennsylvania.
“Promotions play a key role in the fundraising efforts of the Hospitality committee,” said Colin. “Partnering with businesses both in and out of State College helps expand and grow our mission.”
Customers can use code “THON” at papajohns.com for 25% off their regular priced menu order, with 15% of that order donated back to THON.
Papa John’s joins a long list of businesses who show support for families and children battling childhood cancer at Penn State Health Golisano Children’s Hospital. Other restaurants that run fundraisers include locations such as the Roots, Playa Bowls, and El Jefe’s in State College.
Beyond just the donation, Hospitality promotions like these also strengthen support for the THON community as a whole.
“In addition to a percentage of your purchase going directly to THON, you are also supporting businesses that are crucial to the success of the Hospitality committee,” said Colin. “The companies that provide food and beverage donations allow the Hospitality Committee to purely operate from in-kind donations, resulting in no internal costs required.”
