• Why did you want to become a director for the largest student-run philanthropy in the world? Over the last three years as a THON volunteer, I’ve had the privilege of hearing hundreds of deeply personal reasons why people choose to be a part of THON. Through these conversations, I have come to know an incredible range of individuals, motivations, and passions that all drive this organization forward. I wanted to be on the Executive Committee to help ensure that all volunteers feel the impact of their efforts just as I am able to. I hope to create a space where everyone can feel close to the mission and inspired by the difference we can make in lives we will never meet.

• What are your main responsibilities as a Director for THON™ 2027? As the Supply Logistics Directortics Director, I oversee a team of 21 Captains responsible for acquiring, storing, and distributing all of THON’s in-kind donations. Our team partners with businesses locally and nationwide to both share THON’s mission and maximize fundraising efficiency. We manage THON’s inventory sites with a focus on sustainability, ensuring donations are distributed responsibly. In addition, Supply Logistics leads several key initiatives, including the THON Raffle, the Gift Card Initiative, On-Shift Shirt Recollection, the Towel Drive, the Costume Drive, the Hershey Holiday Toy Drive, and Supply the Fight.

• What is your favorite THON memory? My favorite memory is kids fashion show last year. One of Supply Logistics’ initiatives is the costume drive and I had a hand in selecting the costumes to bring to THON Weekend. Watching the kids faces light up when they picked out a costume they loved is something I will never forget.

• What is your favorite quote? “You cant go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending.” C.S. Lewis

• What are you involved in outside of being a THON™ Director? Outside of THON, I work in a biomechanics lab on campus as well as volunteer at centre county PAWS.

• What are your plans after graduation from Penn State? I plan to attend medical school in hopes of becoming a Rural Family Medicine Physician.
