This year, THON™ implemented just a tiny bit of Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour into it’s routine. Specifically, the part where fans make friendship bracelets personalized with a song or a message that makes them feel connected to both the music and the tour. Each of the events leading up to THON Weekend introduced bracelet making stations. They started with the THON 5K powered by PNC, then continued all the way into THON Weekend. The Public Relations Production Committee followed the bracelet making initiative throughout the year, so in the end they could create a video highlighting it. We got the chance to interview Gracie Thomas, who is on the committee for THON 2024. Gracie said, “[The bracelets] were to symbolize that THON is a year-long event, and not just for this weekend.” Additionally, the video was edited by Jack Beattie, another member of their talented group. The video comes to a close with a clip taken during THON Weekend, effectively showing the initiative’s final destination of an amazing journey.
