As THON™ Weekend 2023 approaches, we are excited to spotlight some committee captains that help fundraise For The Kids®! This spotlight is going to focus on senior, Clayton Geisel. Clayton is Captain on the Family Relations committee and his position is the Dancer Relations Liaison.  

Family Relations is responsible for keeping families at the heart of everything we do in the THON community, from different programming to planning events and fostering interactions between families and our volunteers.  

Clayton first got involved with Four Diamonds as a part of Mini-THON in high school and knew that was something he wanted to continue to be involved with in college. Sadly, his grandfather passed away from brain cancer in 2016 and feeling that loss was heartbreaking. He says, “Nobody should have to go through that, and THON continues to be that source of inspiration.” He THONs for smiles and more laughs! 

Last month he was able to participate in both Dream Forward and 100 Days! Clayton says “100 Days ’til THON™ was amazing being able to connect with so many THON volunteers and hear their stories (and make Kid’s mail of course!).”  

Clayton’s favorite THON memory has to be Harvest Day 2022 because he explained it was an incredible day spent with our families and the community!
