Mail Call
THON 2010 is approaching which means IT’S TIME TO WRITE MAIL!!!
Please write letters, make or buy cards, and send packages to dancers, captains, overalls, DJ’s and Barry Bram for them to receive during Mail Call for THON weekend. If you do not know anyone dancing you can still make random dancer mail, which will be distributed among dancers who have not received a lot of mail. Below is some detailed information in regards to writing mail.
We will be collecting mail from January 18th to February 12th. You can drop off mail in the mailrooms located on the third floor of the HUB. Room 324 is for dancer letters, room 327 is the package room and room 331 is for captain, overall, DJ and Barry Bram mail. They should be labeled/addressed as:

If you will be sending letters via the post office, they should be addressed as:

Please write this very clearly and in an easy place to see on the mail! Also, for packages, make sure they are securely wrapped or in a box, so items will not be lost.
Another option for DANCER mail that we offer is Pre-THON packages. These particular packages will be delivered at the start of THON to dancers in their storage area. These packages are great for toys, magazines, puzzles, games, or items that will be useful to dancers during the entire weekend. It is also a great surprise for dancers at the start of their THON journey! To send a Pre-THON package clearly label the package with the letters “PTP” or “Pre-THON.”
Now, have you been wondering what to include in a letter, card, or package?
For letters or cards please be as inspirational or motivating as possible. Tell dancers how proud you are of them, and try to include inspirational quotes, stories, or poems. Be creative, thoughtful and original! Here are some fun things to include for packages:
- Crossword puzzles
- Sudoku puzzles
- Madlibs
- Magazines
- Inspirational poems, quotes, or stories
- Homemade gifts
- Photographs of you and your dancer
- Cool little toys
- Tennis balls
Please make sure not to include any caffine or checks in the mail for dancers!
Taking the time to write mail is a very important thing to do. All the mail helps to inspire and motivate everyone during their most difficult times, and is especially helpful for the dancers. Please take time to do this. Thank you!
