Every year, thousands of Penn State students work tirelessly to support the kids and their families. Some students do so by canning throughout the cold winter to fundraise for THON. Some students plan THON events by volunteering as captains and committee members. Others dedicate themselves to motivating their organizations as THON Chairs. And for every THON, 700 students show their support for the kids by pledging not to sit or sleep for two days straight, as dancers.

More than 350 student organizations participate in THON. These organizations include fraternities, sororities, clubs, and even organizations formed for the sole purpose of participating in THON.
