As part of our 100 Days ‘Til THON™ celebration, a total reveal, similar to the famous reveal at the end of THON Weekend’s 46 hours in February, takes place in the HUB-Robeson Center. THON supporters eagerly await to see how much money the community was able to raise in just seventeen days throughout the Dream Forward Campaign. As a new incentive for THON Committees, the committees who raise the most money get to watch their captain hold up one of the numbers for the total reveal. Two of the captains who were given the opportunity to do this, thanks to the valiant fundraising efforts of their committee, are Kate Evans and Kylie Tammaro.

Here are a few comments about their experience at the event:

Q: What was your favorite part about fundraising with your committee and being one of the captains selected to hold one of the total reveal cards for the Dream Forward campaign?

Kylie Tammaro: “My favorite part about fundraising with my committee was that they took it super seriously and were more motivated to raise money than I could have ever imagined! I loved being able to hold a number at the Dream Forward total reveal because it was an extremely unique experience that most other captains are not fortunate to have. Looking out to the crowd and seeing all of the smiling, emotional faces was a scene I will never forget and I am so grateful.”

Kate Evans: “My favorite part about fundraising with my committee was bonding throughout our fundraising efforts and celebrating our fundraising milestones […]. Being one of the captains selected to hold one of the total reveal cards for the Dream Forward Campaign was one of the most rewarding and joyful experiences of my college career. Standing up on the stage, watching everyone’s faces while the total was revealed, and hearing the cheers was a moment I will cherish forever and never forget. Without my amazing committee and their relentless desire to fundraise for this Organization that we all care for so much, I wouldn’t have had the opportunity to be a part of that moment, so thank you to Kate’s KrusadR&Rs!”

Through hardwork and dedication of committees such as Super TammaRo BRos and Kate’s KrusadR&Rs, captains were given the opportunity to have an “euphoric” experience. The incentives set in place are a great reward for the neverending effort that all of the THON volunteers put in year round.
