UNIVERSITY PARK, PENNSYLVANIA (February 26, 2014) – Penn State Dance Marathon, (THON), raised over $13 million to support pediatric cancer and the Four Diamonds Fund at Penn State Hershey Medical Center – a record for the 42-year-old organization. UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- More than 10,000 Penn State students will travel across the Pennsylvania Commonwealth and surrounding states for the third and final canister solicitation (canning) weekend of the Penn State IFC/Panhellenic Dance Marathon (THON) fundraising season.

University Park, Pa. -- The Penn State IFC/Panhellenic Dance MaraTHON will be featured Nov. 2 as the Penn State Nittany Lions take on the University of Illinois Fighting Illini at Beaver Stadium for a noon kickoff.

For the first time ever, THON is partnering with Penn State Lion Ambassadors to feature a Ribbon Zone, next to the traditional “S” Zone in the student section. The inaugural ribbon will be gold to represent pediatric cancer awareness.

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- UNIVERSITY PARK, PA -- Students, families and volunteers will race toward a cure for pediatric cancer October 26th at the 13th annual THON 5K, benefiting the Penn State IFC/ Panhellenic Dance Marathon.

The race will be held at the Bryce Jordan Center at the corner of Curtin Road and University Drive. The theme of the race is “Hope in Every Stride.”

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- After recently welcoming more than 3,400 new volunteers to the organization, Penn State students from the IFC/Panhellenic Dance Marathon, affectionately known as THON, will travel to various locations to raise funds via canister solicitation Oct. 18th to 20th.

Students will be collecting donations at various storefronts and intersections during the daylight hours in an effort to raise both awareness and funds for the fight against pediatric cancer.
