We had the chance to talk to some of the dancers at this year’s THON™ Weekend. We asked what their favorite meal has been so far. Dancers are provided with different meals throughout the weekend to keep them nourished and fueled while they stand for the full 46 hours. Some of the meals that are offered are Subway subs, bagels with different spreads, fruit, assortments of pasta, zucchini noodles, and the fan favorite, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. We were able to talk to nine dancers this weekend about their favorite meal.

First, we talked to Sam Tropp from Penn State Law. She said that Subway has been her favorite meal so far.

After talking to Eric Leon from Alpha Kappa Psi, he agreed that the Italian hoagie from Subway was the best meal he’s had so far.

Caitlin Mage from the Sports Business Club said her favorite meal was the peanut butter and jelly sandwiches with bananas. She loves that this was a very accessible option for dancers, as they are offered 24/7 on the event floor.

Samantha Albor from Kappa Alpha Theta was another dancer we interviewed. She said the bagels were her favorite meal! Mackenzie Jackson from Club Gymnastics said her favorite meal was also a bagel with cream cheese.

Lastly, we talked to four dancers from TKE and ESA who are partners for THON. Blake Lerner, Ana Fernandes and Alicia Bernhardt all said that the pasta was their favorite meal and that the red sauce was the best. Nick Fredrick disagreed and said that the best meal was the Mush Overnight Oats.

All the dancers look forward to the different meals they get throughout the weekend. It gives them the energy they need to stand the 46 hours.
